Seasonal Eats in Waco

Whether you're planning an office holiday gathering or a cozy celebration with family and friends, restaurants around Waco homes for sale are ready with great seasonal food and beverages. Our real estate agents share their favorite local spots for holiday dining.

  • 1424 Bistro - 1424 Washington Ave., Waco, TX 76701
Who can say no to dessert during the holidays? For many diners, the luscious desserts at 1424 Bistro are the main event. Crème brulee is available in both vanilla and chocolate, and guests swoon over the French silk truffle mousse cake. Add to the festivities with a Jack Frost Martini, White Christmas Margarita, or one of 1424 Bistro's other seasonal craft cocktails. Hours are 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • Portofino's - 725 Austin Ave., Waco, TX 76701
Holidays are about family and food, and the same can be said about Portofino's. Founder Nick Colaku fell in love with Italian food after working at a pizzeria in Rome. The menu is full of traditional Italian dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs, veal Parmigiana, and chicken Marsala served family-style. These meals also make great catering options for holiday gatherings. Portofino's is open 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • The Brazos Landing - 100 N. Interstate 35 Frontage Rd., Waco, TX 76704
Located at the juncture of the Brazos River and I-35, The Brazos Landing honors Waco's history and tradition. The owners have created an inventive and upscale menu featuring Southern favorites along with a healthy helping of Cajun cuisine. Each week in December, The Brazos Landing will be gifting diners with Seafood Sunday, when select seafood dishes will be offered for $3 off the regular price. Save room for brown-butter bourbon bread pudding, a classic holiday dessert. Hours are 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. every day but Monday.

  • Di Campli's Italian Ristorante - 6500 Woodway Dr., Suite 121, Waco, TX 76712
Love brought Massimo Di Campli to Waco. He decided to return the favor by sharing his love of cooking and opening Di Campli's Italian Ristorante. While the menu focuses on traditional Italian cooking, Massimo has added some Texas touches, such as the spicy and sweet jalapeño cheesecake or try their rotating seasonal gelato. Be sure to try Figs & Thyme, a perfect holiday cocktail. Di Campli's is open 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday, and 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

  • Pignetti's - 401 S. 3rd St., Waco, TX 76706
During the busy holiday season, brunch is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with loved ones. Pignetti's has an extensive brunch menu with enough savory and sweet items to satisfy anyone's taste. Share a toast with an Italian espresso martini, a marvelous holiday cocktail made with vodka, Bailey's, Kahlua, and espresso, and jazzed up with an optional shot of peanut butter whiskey. Lunch is served Tuesday through Saturday, dinner is served Monday through Saturday, and brunch is served on Sunday.
