Farmers Market

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market (WDFM) has long been a favorite of our team here at Kelly, Realtors, and we know that the community as a whole loves visiting the market, as well. From stocking up on fresh, local ingredients for your culinary creations to enjoying the sights, sounds, flavors, and chance meetings of a visit to the market, there are so many reasons to shop at the Waco Downtown Farmers Market. The spring 2025 move to Bridge Street provides the perfect excuse for a visit, whether you're a market regular or you haven't stopped by in a bit. Our real estate agents have more on why you'll love the Waco Downtown Farmers Market, and what you can expect from the move to its new location.

Location: 200 E. Bridge St., Waco, TX 76704

  • Get to Know the Waco Downtown Farmers Market
While the move to a new location is big news, the Waco Downtown Farmers Market has already been an essential part of the community for more than a decade. It was first established in 2011 with just over a dozen vendors, and has since grown to host more than 40 vendors every Saturday, often with more than 80 vendors appearing for special events. In addition to fresh, local produce, meat, and other products from local farms, you'll often find unique items from local artisans at the market during special events. These include everything from bath & body products to jewelry, plants, handmade home décor, fashion, and more.

One perk of WDFM compared to many other farmers markets is that it's open year-round. The market is open 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM every Saturday throughout the year, except July and August when the market closes at 12:00 PM on Saturdays, instead. In addition to the usual Saturday hours, there's a Wednesday market that's open seasonally on select Wednesday nights from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. There's no charge to visit the market, with most vendors accepting cash, credit/debit cards, or EBT if you choose to make a purchase.

  • What to Expect from the Move to Bridge Street
The big move to Bridge Street for the WDFM has been in the works for a while, and brings some welcome updates to the overall market experience. You can still expect the same great collection of vendors, with perhaps even more appearing at the new location. The convenient location offers downtown access via the suspension bridge, and street parking is also made available during market hours. It also provides a central location, to make fresh produce available to as many residents as possible from across Waco.

If you're a regular visitor to the market, you'll find some nice perks about the new location. There are picnic tables here so you can enjoy delicious food from WDFM in comfort, as well as a large lawn area. WDFM has always been pet-friendly, but now you can take your pet for a walk on the lawn, with cleanup stations conveniently available. The lawn also provides a great place for live entertainment, including outdoor concerts throughout the year. With easy access to downtown Waco via the suspension bridge and plenty of local businesses to visit in the blocks around Bridge Street, there's even more to see after your visit to WDFM.
