    Doris Miller Memorial is a monument and museum operated by Cultural Arts of Waco. It memorializes the life and service of Doris Miller, a World War II hero born in Waco. Miller, a Navy mess attendant, bravely manned a deck gun to fire back at attacking airplanes during the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
